Will you be the photographer at my shoot? Who else will be present?
Yes, I will always be the primary photographer present at your shoot. In some rare cases, with your permission, a second female photographer may be present to assist with lighting or to shoot from other perspectives. This will only be done with your permission. In these cases, the other photographer’s images will be treated just like my images and will be subject to the same privacy restrictions and copyright laws.
How much should I expect to spend on my session?
You can find more information about package options on the Pricing page. In addition to your session fee, you may also wish to book a hotel suite for your shoot, hire a hair or makeup artist, buy lingerie or other accessories, or purchase additional prints and products, all of which will increase the overall cost for your session.
Will I receive the digital files from my session? Will these images be retouched?
The high resolution digital files as well as a print release authorizing you to have prints made are included with all packages. Regardless of your package choice, all of your images will be largely retouched, including skin smoothing, blemish removal, and editing of body parts that may not look their best. I will also include a few black and white versions of some of my personal favorites from your session.
Is there any retouching that is not included?
Tattoo removal and tan lines are extremely time-consuming and thus require an additional fee of $35 per image. I recommend hiring a makeup artist skilled in skin coverups to help minimize these problems, if necessary.
Can I bring a friend to my shoot for moral support?
Sure! Although I don’t recommend bringing your mom or your best guy friend along, a sister or close friend can be a great personal assistant to check your hair and makeup, assist you with outfit selection, and be your cheering section.
What if my friend wants to do a session, too? Can we do our sessions together?
There are packages available for both pairs (2 ladies) and large groups (3-8 ladies). If you’re feeling intimidated or nervous about your boudoir session, this is a great way to share the experience and help each other stay positive and excited about your images. It’s also a great way to keep location fees down!
Where should my session be, and what should I bring?
You can find more information about my favorite locations on this page, and information on how to prepare for your session on this page. If you want something more unusual or unique for your session, let me know and I’ll help you create the perfect concept for your shoot.
Will I have a say in how you use my images on your website?
How soon after my session will I receive my proofs and products?
You will receive your online gallery approximately 2-3 weeks after your session (4-6 weeks for boudoir parties). Products such as albums and folios can take 4-6 weeks to arrive once the order is finalized. During the holiday season (November/December), production time can take even longer. If your session is intended to be a gift for a special occasion, I recommend scheduling it no later than two months before the date that you need your products in hand. If your session is intended to be a Christmas gift, I recommend scheduling your session in September or early October. If your session is intended to be a Valentine’s gift, I recommend scheduling your session in November or early December.
How do I book a shoot with you?
First, use our contact form to send us your information. Our Studio Manager will contact you to discuss your specific needs and ideas and help you decide which package and location is right for you. Once you are ready to book, we will send you a private link to the online booking system. All individual packages must be paid in full before your session; boudoir parties require a $500 deposit, with the balance due on the day of the event. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.
